Listen to The Raven on Spotify

September the 21st marks the 35th anniversary of the release of the band’s fourth studio album The Raven back in 1979. Please click on the album cover image to hear the full album on Spotify…

Recorded in Paris, the album was their first without producer Martin Rushent at the controls and shows how much the band’s horizons and experiences had broadened following their recent travels around the world, including visits to the USA, Japan & Australia. The album is widely considered to be amongst the band’s best by fans and critics alike and marked a distinct departure from their established sound, especially the move away from JJ’s signature bass growl. Three singles were released from the album, firstly Duchess, then Nuclear Device and lastly Don’t Bring Harry.
