Peaches reissue-Record Store Day 2014

As part of this year’s Record Store Day on Saturday 19th April, Peaches 7″ single is getting a special re-release by Rhino/Parlophone. The single will be issued on green vinyl with Go Buddy Go on the flipside and will be housed in a copy of the original (and incredibly rare!) ‘blackmail’ picture cover. This legendary cover was only available on a few promo copies of the single back in 1977 and was withdrawn before release after the band expressed concern that the¬†newspaper cutout lettering made it look like a Sex Pistols’ sleeve! It has long been sought after and is one of the holy grail items for Stranglers’ collectors. The release will be limited to 1,000 copies worldwide and is only available from participating record shops on the 19th. For your nearest shop, please check the Record Store Day website. Go out and grab yourself a slice of history…
