Midlands festival confirmed

We can now confirm the next summer gig in the diary. The band will be headlining the Godiva festival in Coventry on Friday 7th July. Further details can be found on the Godiva website here. It is a free and ticketless gig so you can just turn up on the day.

Guests at SLF 40th bash...

This year is the 40th anniversary of the formation of Northern Irish band Stiff Little Fingers who formed during the punk explosion of 1977. They have a large hometown show planned in Belfast for the August bank holiday weekend to mark the occasion. Due to the close relationship between both bands who have been firm friends for many years, The Stranglers will be appearing as special guests at the gig on Saturday 26th August in Custom House Square in Belfast. Tickets go onsale from 9am Friday 17th February here

A month to go!

The band’s March tour kicks off exactly a month today in Lincoln and we wanted to give you a quick ticket update. As previously mentioned, the Glasgow and Cambridge gigs have both sold out. There are now only a handful of tickets left for Aberdeen and Dunfermline isn’t too far behind so all three Scottish dates will definitely be sell outs. Cheers to the loyal fans North of the border yet again! All other dates are selling well. See you in a month…

Southampton Guildhall-JJ speaks…

Eagle eyed fans will notice that the band are returning to the Southampton Guildhall on the 20th March (now with renamed the ‘O2 Guildhall’). It is a venue that the band vowed never to play again after their last appearance there back in 2010 due to issues with the sound. JJ wanted to set the record straight on this change of heart: A few years ago, I announced from the stage at Southampton Guildhall that we would never play there again as the sound was a disgrace. However, we are playing there again! The reason being that I was assured by none other than Louie Nicastro, our soundman, that they  have changed the whole PA there and it has vastly improved. I take his word for it… If I’m wrong, I’m wrong…
