A message from Jet…

As a non-subscriber to what I believe is known as ‘Social Media’, I was beginning to think that I had finally managed to evade the annual fusillade of greetings to which I have become accustomed in recent years. Greetings, in acknowledgement of an event of some seventy eight years distant, to which I had then been involuntarily tethered.

That is, until social media savvy Ava, on the morning of the 26th last month, had informed me that there was a new fusillade winging it’s way towards me, through the wonder of international electronic communications.

'The Challenge'- JJ and the bathtub race

Exactly thirty years ago, JJ led an intrepid group of fans across the Channel to Nice to take part in a bathtub race in the sea off the French Riviera. The event was the culmination of months of planning, design and test sailings of the bathtub based craft. One of the main ‘Challengers’, Paul Jenner (or Peejay to his friends) picks up the story…

New Zealand & Australia 2016: Baz's Tour Diary

Baz admires the view

Soon after the band had completed the UK Black And White tour, they headed ‘Down Under’ for an eight date tour of New Zealand and Australia, the first visit since the gigs with Blondie back in 2012.

Making the most of the trip, Baz flew down early to visit family and, following the tour, he & JJ were staying on for some motorbiking around Western Australia. On his return home, he wrote this blog about their Antipodes trip…

Antipodes tour completed...

The band played the final gig on their successful eight date tour of New Zealand and Australia in Fremantle, Perth on Friday night. It was their first visit since the shows with Blondie back in 2012. Feedback from band members has been very positive with tales of hot & sweaty shows in packed venues with entusiastic audiences.  Cheers to everyone who attended any of the gigs, especially those intrepid explorers who travelled Down Under from the UK: Sid & Yola, Colin & Cath, Johnny N, Stephen B, Brant, Sten and Charlie B plus a special mention to Sarah J, Rob O and Chris F who attended all the gigs (as did Aussie resident Mark D). Great effort & dedication shown… We will be bringing you a tour blog from Baz very soon.
